Best Review: 27,BLACK,8MS,300CD/M2,3000:1,VIEWING Angle: 178/178 - This is a great monitor. It's big, very slim, and light weight. It's a lot more than just a monitor though, with Central Station. Please note the panel type - this is a MVA panel, not TN, not IPS. You can get much cheaper 27" monitors with TN panels (with bad viewing angles and color shifting). For about 70% more money, you can get an IPS panel, ideal for photo manipulation (this one isn't).Central station didn't work on my first one, I returned it (Amazon did an exceptional job with the return), and received another. With Central Station working, you get a variety of features built into the monitor. There's a USB hub in the back of the monitor, which I have connected my keyboard and the wireless adapter for my mouse. This hub switches based on video device, so, when I connect my laptop up via wireless USB my video, keyboard and mouse all connect to this monitor wirelessly. There are some features that I'll never use on this monitor, it has a wired network adapter on it, a 10/100 network adapter... I have no use for this. It has USB Audio built into it, so you don't have to move your speakers around. It's a neat idea, but, I have no expectation of decent fidelity from this gizmo (additionally, I'd never use my (work) laptop for music). The USB audio has caused problems with the foobar2000 media player I use, it keeps requesting the output device. I've disabled the device in device manager and the problem has gone away.Things that are bad: Some of the initial settings are more for demonstrating what it can do, than what you would want to use. It has a setting where it'll automatically go through all of the inputs if one of them goes out. It's a neat idea, however, it also means that when your monitor goes "to sleep" per PC request, it disconnects... which causes the PC to make the device disconnect sound... and then it reconnects when it gets back to the computer... all night long, at least, until you turn it off or change it to manual device selection.Brightness is exceptionally high, I'm not going to call that a bad thing, it's adjustable. Blacks aren't as dark as my other samsung mva monitor - not sure why that is.Note: this is a _huge_ monitor. I have it on a dual-monitor stand, and, it's so big that it was almost unusable at first. I've gotten used to it, and now like it a lot.
