Do yourself a favor and download the OPEN SOURCE program called Skip Metro Suite. I hate windows 8.The rule is to skip every other MS operating system. The meat: I had to exchange it for the identical model because I am a heavy gamer, and after only THREE WEEKS the left mouse button on the smart pad had come loose, and made a horrible clicking noise. I hope the new model doesn't suffer the same shoddy craftsmanship. ALSO, the keyboard is beside the number pad. So, if your current laptop only has QWERTY keyboard, and NOT the numpad beside it, you'll have to train yourself to type on the left side of the monitor...Do you understand what I mean? On my old ASUS, it only had the keyboard. So, The number "6" was directly below the logo, on the monitor. You'd center yourself to the middle of the laptop. For this model, the keyboard is on the left side, to make room for the num pad, so the number "6" is a few inches LEFT of the logo.Google images of the keyboard to see what I mean.So...windows 8, ick. but work arounds can happen...Left smart pad mouse button was loose and noisy...Have to get used to the keyboard layout on the machine, moved left from center.Hope that helps. I paid $740 tax free for this PC.R.
